Bluebottle

16 March 2016

The Gala – the biggest and brightest event on the comedy calendar, happening live at the Palais Theatre and beaming to homes Australia-wide through Network Ten!

It’s the annual taste of the comedy genius about to take over Melbourne, where the cream of the crop from Australia and overseas take to the stage. They donate their time and funnies for this special event, and through their generosity and that of the audience The Gala supports the life-changing work of Oxfam.

By buying a ticket to the The Gala you too can help to change the world by helping people lift themselves out of poverty and thrive.

Bluebottle

10 – 18 October

Following acclaimed seasons at the 2011 and 2014 Melbourne Festivals, the Australian National Academy of Music’s one–of–a–kind, purpose built performance space is back.

Created by theatrical innovators Bluebottle, ANAM Quartetthaus is an extraordinary fusion of music, architecture and design, offering a daringly intimate and breathtakingly visceral take on the traditional concert hall.

With musicians playing in the round, and only 52 seats in the venue, no audience member is ever more than two metres from the performers, making for an exceptionally unique concert experience.

The program showcases ANAM’s foremost musicians as they present a selection of repertoire from the rich history of the string quartet, featuring Joseph Haydn and more.

The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) is dedicated to the artistic and professional development of Australia and New Zealand’s most exceptional young musicians. ANAM’s vision of musicianship is holistic: to develop future music leaders who are distinguished by their artistic skill, imagination, courage, and by their contribution to a vibrant music culture.
